Almost every resident of Grand Rapids has been to Grand Coney at some point of their life. Whether it's after playing a game of baseball or after barhopping downtown, everyone has some type of memory inside of Grand Coney.

I haven't been to Grand Coney since my early college days which were about 5 years ago. I'm not sure if Grand Coney has had Happy Hour in the past and I just wasn't aware of it, but I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and saw the Happy Hour signs.
I went into Grand Coney to pass some time before a job interview, so I didn't want to grab a big meal. I know, eating a Coney before a job interview isn't smart, but I was REALLY craving that Coney!
I ended up getting the Flint and Detroit-style Coney dog. I haven't had either of them before, but they were only $2 each, so I figured why not?
The service was great! The server was really nice, she greeted me before I even got inside. The environment was perfect. The restaurant felt like a diner. It seemed authentic and the interior design was clearly well thought out. The food came out extremely quick. So quick that it was almost scary...

The hotdogs were cooked perfectly. It's hard to explain, but the outside skin was firm enough to add a tiny bit of crunch to the hotdog while still maintaining all the flavor and softness in the middle. The buns were fresh and the combination of onions, chili, and mustard definitely hit the spot.
If you are craving a hotdog between 2-5pm, I suggest you go to The Grand Coney.

You can't beat a deal like that! They even do takeout! (I believe they even do the special on takeout orders, but don't hold me to that)
Coney's aren't the only thing on the Happy Hour Menu. Cheese Fries and Milkshakes are also included. The milkshakes on the Happy Hour List only include basic shake flavors, but it's such a good deal that you can't even complain. The Cheese Fries and Milkshakes are both only $2 each.
The best thing about Grand Coney's Happy Hour is that you can have a high-quality diner experience for only $6.
