I'm sure there will be a LOT of people eating food today! Hopefully this can help you decide where to go eat dinner.
Earlier this week I had a meeting at Horrock's Deli and I was pleasantly surprised!
I had never been to Horrock's before so I arrived a little early to look around. I assumed it would just be a place that served expensive subs when I saw the name, but there is so much more to Horrock's.
I want to start off by saying I wasn't able to spend time exploring the entire place, because the building is so big! There is a grocery store attached to it, but I just stuck to the Deli side.
The Deli side is very casual. I really enjoyed the vibe of the place and every employee was exceptionally nice.
I took time browsing the contents of the Deli for future reference. They had the normal deli food such as potato salad, but they also had some specialty options such as Tiramisu, Baklava,10+ pre-prepared deli sandwiches, and a pizza bar. All of the prices were very reasonable and the quality of the food looked amazing. Even the pre-packaged food was impressive.
The best part of the entire trip was: The Soup Bar.

This Soup Bar was SO amazing! There were so many soup options. It was perfect for the cold weather. After browsing the soups, some kind ladies told me that I have to ask the worker behind the counter for sample cups. Once I got my sample cup I tried the Shrimp and Corn Chowder and I didn't try any other soups. It was so good that I didn't want to try any other soups! The soup sample was creamy, but not overwhelming, and had the perfect amount of shrimp and corn in it. A lot of places attempt to save money, and skimp on the ingredients, but it was clear that Horrock's was focused on giving their customers a high quality experience.

Sidenote: Horrock's Deli has a Pizza and Pub deal between 4 and 7pm. It includes a slice of pizza and a beer for $6.00
All in all, Horrock's Deli was a hit. The deli and soup bar had so many options, the prices are very affordable, they have a bar, the staff was nice, and there is a market connected to the Deli. It's located on 44th Street, which is a 25 minute drive from my house, but I can't wait to go back. The food and atmosphere are worth the trip.
Comment your favorite thing to get from Horrock's Deli so I know what to try next!
